Wrecked!

So my wife was driving my truck home from work this morning and lost control. She hit a concrete retaining wall at over 40 MPH at 5:15 this morning.

She's sore but otherwise okay, which is the most important thing. I feel fortunate that she hit a wall rather than another car, so we're grateful nobody was hurt. Not sure what else to say at the moment, it's hard for me to focus right now...

OUCH!
Glad to hear she's OK. Trucks can be replaced, so no worries there. Take it easy, and tell her to sit back and relax for awhile. Good thing she wasn't driving some econo crap-box fuel sipper, or it could have been much worse.

Wow!
I'm glad to hear she is ok. Take some time get things straight and let us know what's to become of the truck. Hug your wife and be thankful this wasn't worse!

accident

I disagree about the fuel sippers--my son was in a head on at 50 mph in his 2002 Neon and walked away!

Tom,

It's just a machine bro. I know she feels badly enough right now, just let it go and hug her.

The really cool thing is, in the course of this day, I'll bet that dozens and dozens of these Superduties rolled off the assembly line.

Take care my friend and I'm relieved that she's not injured.

I think he was more along the lines of the newer...more smaller...cars...(I shudder at even calling them cars...) Like the smart car and such. Seriously...a head on with a poodle in a smart car will probably total it.

I hit a concrete barrier at 50 mph and walk away fine in a civic. Also flipped a Prelude and shoved the engine block through the fire wall and only had bruises from the seat belt. Also hit a 15" diameter tree at 50mph in an Accord and walked away... many years ago...

It is weird to get out of a front end collision regain your thoughts, and notice the force you hit with actually knocked your truck lid open. On most of those cars you could actually see ripples in the rear quarter panels.

I would say the puddle jumpers are safe; however this truck will be fixable, a puddle jumper would be totaled, but safe.

Important thing is that crazy's wife is safe and sound. The truck will be fixed.

Well that stinks... Glad she's ok though. That truck looks completely fix-able.

How did the rear tire go? Or is that the reason she lost control? Don't see any damage to the rear...
