I have found that my '66 352 (now a 416) is supposed to be painted Ford Corporate Blue. The local napa store has ford blue (lightest) old ford blue (a smidgen darker) and ford dark blue. Which is mine supposed to be?
which ever color you like the best! i used the ford corporate blue on mine... i think the original color for 66 was ford corporate blue, everything before that was the lighter blue.

All 1960/65 FoMoCo vehicles engine blocks/heads, waterpumps and etc. were painted black.
The valve covers were painted specific colors as this is how FoMoCo identified the engine sizes.
Beginning in 1966, the entire engine including the valve covers were painted Ford Corporate Blue, excepting truck oil bath air cleaners.

The one that I like the best is the one that my motor was originally painted. I haven't been able to find any "Ford Corporate Blue". Just ford blue, old ford blue, and dark ford blue.
I found an original '66 dealer sales ad and in the brochure the 300 SIX is painted black.... which is the correct color to paint if I want to match the original?
