I just rewired my truck and now my passenger side rear turn signal doesn't work. I've checked all my wires and the connections are good. (used an ohm meter to check for continuity). The issue seems to be the turn signal switch as I can't get voltage in the wire at the bottom of the column.
Has anyone heard of this happening before and is the only fix to replace the switch?
if you just rewired it did you make sure that the brake lights work on both sides? with and w/o a turn signal going....i THINK that much of the ights run thru the t/signal switch...are the column bearings in good shape upper and lower ?? I know that I lost my horn function as a result of bad bearings and a rag joint that was bad...
1963/64 F100/250: 2WD or 4WD? T/S switches are different.
If 2WD, ask jetcopterpilot where he bought his T/S (aftermarket) switch, as there is ONLY one original available NOS.
If 4WD, there are 6 available NOS
Post 4: Linked tutoral is for a different T/S switch: C9TZ-13341-C ~ 1965/66 F100/250 2WD, 1966 F100 4WD, 1967/68 F100/350, 1969 F100/350 before serial number G30,001.
Unfortunately I am familiar with this stuff. I have a 63 F100 that had turn signal issues not to long ago. The problem started when the turn signals would stop working on and off for couple consecutive drives. Then went out completely. Like you I checked continuity and connections and all seemed well so I assumed it was the switch. Bought one and installed it with no change. My dad was looking over my 63 wiring diagram and noticed the turn signal flasher relay, went to the auto parts store bought one put it in and that was that, problem solved. So long story short check the relay under the dash before you do what I did and spend 60 or so bucks on a new turn signal switch, its worth the time and small amount of cash. I will say not knowing what wiring setup you just put in things may be different but I think the relay would be a good thing to rule out.
I have no flasher relay and my blinkers lights only come on when I use the brakes haha, when u rewire my truck I might just kill the factory switch and run a toggle switch on the dash.
All these trucks have a turn signal flasher. If optional 4 way emergency flashers present, there are two flashers, one for the T/S's, one for the 4 ways.
T/S flasher located on backside of instrument cluster. 4 way flasher nestles inside bracket, one screw attaches bracket to dash adjacent to radio.
Both flashers are round with two prongs. 4 way flasher is a H/D unit, has a louder CLICK. Can be substituted for T/S flasher, but T/S flasher should not be used in place of 4 way flasher.

Dave, I recall seeing "wrong bed," could not recall if 2WD or 4WD: C3TZ-13341-B .. T/S Switch - 1963/64 F100/250 2WD only / Obsolete ~ ONE available NOS
Jet contacted me looking for switch, asked me for applications (there were two available NOS at that time). Then found T/S switch either at NPD or? I forget. NPD warehouse, as you probably know, is located in Ventura.
Thanks for the info Bill. Truck is a 2wd wrongbed. Jet already sent me the info on the TS switch. Is infact NPD that carries it. Thanks for the help yet again!
Finally replaced the switch today. The brake lights also stopped working but those were fixed when i replaced the switch. i think the contacts finally wore out.
