I have a 02 screw with 5.4 engine.I am changing the trans fluid and am looking for the drain plug for the torque converter.I popped the rubber plug where you can see the teeth of the flywheel and spun engine around with screwdriver while looking for drain screw.Didnt see it,maybe I`m blind.Do I need to look somewhere else?I have the 4r70w trans I believe.
Wow my 97 F150 and 98 Expy had same transmission and had drain plugs on converter. How do I get most of fluid out of transmission? The pan only has 4-5 qts.
my 2001 has the plug. they stopped putting them in about 2002. If you want more out, you will have to take a line off from the trans to the radiator, and pump it out.
