I'll tell ya after driving over the road for about 5 years, I would
say for anyone who has never been around this this great country
its beautiful and so for me it's hard to choose one state cuz anything from the sierra nevadas to the rocky's and cascades skip
the middle and the appilatians north to maine WOW. Montana is
where me and my wife will retire.
I probably would not live in the States. at least none of the 30 or so that I've seen. But I hear Hawaii is nice, never been there, so that might be one.
Nevada. No question. Wide open spaces, water skiing, snow skiing, hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, and, don't forget, Reno (gambling, and I like it better than Vegas... ).
I think MN would be a good palce I like cold temps and snow. On the other hand it would be nice to live where you wear shorts all year long so southern states CA thru TX maybe over to FL. If it's warm in the winter it mostly likely scorching hot in the summer. Let no forget the humity, you know the kind when out side it's so heavy your almost ubale to breath. So forget about the southeast. When I drive i like the back roads. I hate the roads the meander around so forget anything east of the Mississippi River. Althought I like to drive i hate having to drive like 30-40 minutes to get to the next town. So anything in he great plines is out. I don't like a lot of rain so the west coast is out. Hawaii and Alaska are out. I'm a cheap bastered and hate shelling our money. So that leaves Iowa. Where just about everything I hate is natural so I guess I stay here. I gets cold and there's plenty of snow and heat and humity can suck a times. The roads meander just enought to like them and the towns are just close enough.
I have a sticker that says "The Gods hate Kansas" and I certainly agree. Utility costs are high here year round due to the weather extremes and electricity rates are high also due to a $$$ nuke plant and coal. Food is costly also. The weather is horrible, cold and wet in the winter and hot and humid in the summer. The weather is hard on the roads and your vehicles.
