Fuel pump issues
Hello everyone, I recently changed the front fuel pump in my 1990 f150. I did make sure to swap over the check valve from the old pump but I’m having issues with sputtering at idle and during acceleration. Everything functions normally as soon as I swap to the rear tank so I’m just looking for some ideas before dropping the tank again…

Two things, verify fuel pressure at the test port on both tanks. Second, did you verify the check valve was functional before reinstall? Mine were screwed up. Supply line was stuck almost completely closed and return line was stuck fully open. Both rusted in place.

Unless everything runs perfectly and the pump just quits
Replace the "fuel pump module assembly" that has both the check valve and shuttle valve new in the module
And
Plan on 3 pumps in 2 years if you buy the cheap module assemblies
