I was out cruising the other day and noticed the turn signals on my ’93 single cab aren’t working. Not sure how long they’ve been out, but there’s no clicking from the relay, no flashing indicators on the dash, and no signals on either side.
I replaced the relay a few years back, so I figured I’d try swapping in a new one again just in case — but that didn’t fix the problem.
Brake lights work fine, and the hazards also work normally. At this point I’m not sure where to start looking, and it’s turning into a real head-scratcher.
Has anyone run into this before or have any ideas where the issue might be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
When you say the relay, I presume you mean the flasher in the fuse box? If so, turn key to on, turn the signal on to one side or the other, and then pull out the flasher and see if one of the 2 poles is hot.
Check your four-way flasher switch on the column. Activate the switch a few times. If that switch sticks half-way, the four-ways aren't on and the turn signals won't work. It is surprising how often that gets bumped accidentally.
