I own a 1942 3/4 ton pickup & am in need of repairs to my speedometer but having the entire gauge cluster checked would be nice. My speedometer is seized and I can't find anyone in Ontario Canada to fix it. Please advise.
I haven't personally used them, but they present themselves well and call out King-Seeley, which is the style of gauges Ford used: https://calibratedclassics.com/services/
Thank you to all but I was advised by a knowledgable friend not to try to repair it myself so the calibrated classics looked hopeful until I saw it is in Michigan. I am hoping to take the unit to and from the repair shop myself in Ontario. If all else fails, I will take it to Michigan or buy a backup unit at a swap meet. Not looking forward to either option though. Hoping tom stay in Ontario. I won't mail it anywhere.
I have personally used Rusty at Speedometer service in Colorado for repairs on the SW speedometer in my '39 p/u. Quality reasonably priced service and shipping with a fast turn around. He is an Alliance vendor on the HAMB. He doesn't work on all speedometers but give him a call to find out if he works on your particular unit. You won't be disappointed. IMO.
