I gave it a good cleaning and it seems to be running fine now, load or not. Only ethanol tainted fuel up here so I'll have to start adding a cap or two of Seafoam to every tank and or start "washing" the ethanol out of the gas which will be a PITA lol. If they sell propane conversion kits for this model then I'll buy a kit and a new carb and start fresh with new parts

You bought a used generator with a dirty carburetor probably from setting with gas in the carburetor. You put 10% gas in it so just what alcohol does it started cleaning it out causing your rough running. If you cleaned it out the 10% will keep it clean. Never leave and gas in a generator allowing it to evaporate. I run 10% in all my small motors and without problems and have for years.

I bought a pair of the similar Honda EU2000 generators 15 years ago, they have been used for powering 3 different campers while dry camping, power for air comp and tools at the track and power at home during storm related outages. They have sat for 6+ months at a time several times and have only very rarely been run empty of gas before sitting, have only ever run on E10 gas and have never had any issues starting or running. I wouldn’t convert to propane, gas is much more convenient and easier to refuel. When powering the campers I do use a 6.5 gallon marine fuel tank with the outlet split to the 2 gennies, as they consume gas they draw fresh from the marine tank, the 2 link together to provide 30 amp service. Running a single 13.5K BTU AC and normal house loads on our fiver the marine tank will still have just under a half tank after morning coffee after being setup around dinner time the day before.

Are you running the two generators at the same time on the same buss. Like running them in parallel?
I have two 5kw generators. Was curious if running them both together on the same breaker was a safe idea.
Seem to me that they need to be at the same frequency or with in a certain % tolerance to to be used like that.

Yes, both together at the same time feeding the single 50 amp inlet on the camper but via a 30 to 50 amp adapter. BUT……..these little Hondas are designed for this application, one serves as the master and the other supplements it via linking cables between them. With them hooked together they can supply a full 30 amp RV service and are very stable. If your two generators are not designed for this setup I don’t think linking them together would be a safe bet.

Probably a moot point since you seemed to
have it fixed, but in my experience propane generators aren't as efficient as gasoline and potentially hard starting in cold weather. Given a choice, I would stick with the gasoline. My Hudson 3300i will run for days with the 1 gallon internal tank and 2 gallon can I carry with me and powers everything in my 30amp slide in with ease if I manage the load. I drain the fuel and run it dry when laying it up for any length of time.

It runs a bit rough for the first few minutes, but if I throw a load on it right away it smooths out a lot faster so come spring I'll run some non ethanol gasoline through it with some kind of de-cruding additive and go from there.
