Yeah, yeah, yeah. I forgot to make a February all-topic thread. Sosumi.
I keep forgetting the end of the month comes faster now that I am older and more forgetful. That is my story, and I am sticking to it.
I did go to church yesterday but got lazy after. Just watched TV (Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime) all day until bedtime.
The truck is "supposedly" fixed. My niece's friend was here Friday and yesterday replacing the stoplight switch, and a small fuse. I have not tried it yet, but today I need to get the rent money order, and groceries, so I will go out to the truck and see if it will start and change gears like it is supposed to.
In my van and truck, the ignition turns and starts without pressing the brake pedal. I only have to step on the brake pedal to move the shifter out of park.

That is how my truck used to work. Not anymore. It is doing the same exact thing. Will not start in park, and I cannot move the gear selector even with my foot on the brake. David, the mechanic, sent me a text saying my battery is low, and he did not have a charger with him. He will stop by today, and also bring a 20amp fuse as the one in the truck was blown.
Well, the weather guessers are just that. Guessing. It is 9:40am and not only is it not raining, but it's also sunny and bright with only a few light clouds in the sky.
I was told last night that the truck was fixed. Have not checked it out yet. Also was told the gear selector cable needs to be rerouted. So, I could take it back to the original repair shop, but I have no confidence in their ability to fix the issue. However, it is the only way to get the cable rerouted for free. I am guessing it is the zip ties they used that is causing the binding in the gear selector. I may take it to them, but I really don't want to as I know they will keep it for days and claim it is fixed.
It’s been snowing since yesterday , and I haven’t seen the sun in three days , sure glad I bought Thermal overalls and wool socks

Is everyone okay with the storm? Flooding. Power Outage. Road Closure.
How many inches has Glue Guy got? Is Modoc watching bad drivers slide off the road? Did Fat Diesel fire up his fire truck to rescue anyone?
Too many to count! Also those who think that even the roadway has a foot or more of water over it, they can drive through. Earlier 299 W to the Coast was closed due to Snow and land Slides. Now 299 E has several slides along with Highway 70 going up the Feather River Canyon. @Hanklyn is off by about 60 miles, they shut I-5 down ar Redding about 5 PM tonight.
Also closed are Highway 97 from Weed to Oregon and Highway 99 from Chico to Red Bluff, snow and flooding respectively.
