I hate this truck...
Just received the shorty antenna guaranteed to fit a 2005 Ford F-150.
It does not fit. It does the same thing the Chevy antenna did. It bottoms out before the threads can engage anything.
And now it is a moot point anyway since the stereo will not come on. It lights up showing the time (which of course is wrong because I have no clue how to set it) but it will not turn on. I will wait until the rain goes away, and then go out there and set it. Every time I have work done on the truck I have to reset everything on the stereo.
Did I mention I hate this truck?
Didn’t see it. Currently working parking management at the Sierra Cascade Logging and Construction Conference. Sitting burning diesel and watching it snow.

Well, we were supposed to get rain all day. Didn't happen. maybe an hour of actual rain. Mostly sprinkles here and there. Got to try out my umbrella hat though. Going to have to drive slower when using it as even with a small breeze it wants to fly off my head.
After returning from church last night in the truck, I decided to back it into the carport instead of head in. Think I will do that more often now. The bed overhangs the curb just enough to allow the front of the truck to be under the carport completely. So, barring any sideways rain, the truck will stay dry. Of course, the carport does leak water, which will now go in the middle of the bed instead of on the windshield, but I can live with that.

I got the message that my Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forum account was compromised. I had to buy $75,000 worth of Wal*Mart gift cards, then send them to my Chapter Leader. Will someone let me know when they unlock my account?

$75,000? I told them $75.00, what the heck! Someone is getting rich and it ain't me. BTW, thanks for reminding me what a fool I was back then. A very costly fool. Bleah.
TGIF Nor-Cal and friends. No rain in the forecast today, so maybe I'll get off my lazy bum and do some light work on the truck. Clean the windshield, setup the stereo, use some aluminum foil to get one of the antennas to work... and stay in the mount. There is some surface rust on the very back edge of the truck bed. I will pull a Derek Bieri (Vice Grip Garage for anyone who doesn't know) and fix it by spraying a can of flat black over it.
