There's a nice 51 on Bring a Trailer with a floor shifted 3-speed non-synchro transmission. This is a new one on me -I knew the 4-speeds were crashboxes, but I thought both column shift and floor shift 3-speeds were sychro. Educate me, please!

I'd say the copy writers were either mistaken, or just making stuff up as they went along. 3 speed transmissions, light duty or heavy duty, (the light duty version was column shifted after mid-late 1950) had synchros between 2nd and 3rd gears. 1st was not synchromeshed.
