38 1-1/2 ton ignition source

Working with a 38 truck and for the life of me, I can’t find the key. Anyone know where to get a replacement?

I think we could get it running with alligator clips, but maybe the steering is locked too.....We usually unbolt the column drop casting from the dash and then it rotates as we steer. But really you must have a locksmith somewhere near who can help.I have hacksawed and ruined a bunch of nice stuff in my haste to hear that V8 start up. Maybe somebody here has a more sensible approach.

Yeah, I’m not looking to destroy anything and we’re bypassing the ignition currently while working on it. Just wanting it to have the original style if possible

Good work around for ignition key is to pull the lock from the door.
The code on it should be the same as the ignition key and can you find a locksmith to cut one from that code.
