This is what my coolant level looks like below the min line.
I would think the level would be somewhere between min and max so you would no what level is in the coolant system.
What everyone else’s level look like?
Thanks
I tend to keep my coolant filled to the MAX line when the engine is cold, so that I can easily tell if I have lost any or not. During the winter months, when engine is cold it seems to drops below that a bit, in the summer when cold, it goes back to the MAX line. when engine is hot, its above the max line.
My last truck always sat about 1/2" below min when cold as well, this cold was around 40F if I recall, when fully at temp, it is above the max. Reading the manual, it should be between the two when cold. In summer when cold is 80 or 70F in the morning, it is between the two.
Mine is a 16, but when cold coolant is not visible
My 16 looks like this, however I suspect a leak somewhere. I've smelled a faint coolant smell the past couple of months and don't see any traces of coolant.
From the factory the reservoir was at MAX when hot and MIN when cold. It now is midway between the two when hot.
