Coolant level

I didn't want to start a new topic but this has been bothering me so wanted to ask the experts here.
Can't be too careful.

Is this cold level OK?
I can't remember what the level looked like last winter.
It's been like this for a month or so that I remember.
No leaks that I've found.

The book simply states to keep it between the arrows so in theory, it's OK.
It's still orange in color, no issue there.

Looks good to me. When my radiator started leaking my level dropped below the bottom arrow. I noticed the loss of coolant before the leak was visible so I had a good idea it was coming.

My fluid is fairly new now but it does not retain the new look very long. It turns dirty orange fairly quickly. Don't know why but I'm glad yours is good.

I looked at mine a few days ago when the engine was cold and found level right at the interface between the translucent upper degas tank half and the black lower degas tank half(right at the lower arrow mark). I pulled the cap to verify level and look for signs of debris in the coolant system.

I had plenty of coolant and the tank was clean(unlike my 6.0L at the same time in engine life which started to show deposits in the bottom of the degas bottle). Dieselsite already has a coolant filter out for the 6.7L. I do not expect to have the same issues with debris in the coolant.

The level looks fine. I personally would add additional 50/50 mix to take it to the top of the line, but that isn't necessary, more of me just having a personal preference of preferring the top range of a range.

Last week when I changed my fuel filters, I checked all the other vitals and noticed the orange juice was right where you described it. So, I added enuf 50/50 to bring it to the upper limit of the desired range. I know, I know, there's a medicine for this disease.

Just noticed the document I posted above states "at cold fill range" and the diesel manual states "within."

The document I posted above can be found on your fordowner.com account.
If you don't have an account, create one and add your VIN to your account.
This is a great place to tell Ford about your maintenance and find documentation.
