'55 F100 Clutch Question

'55 F100 Clutch Question
The hook on the rod that goes through the frame. This rod has the clutch pedal attached to the outboard end. The hook is on the inboard end and hooks through a hole in the stirrup to actuate the clutch. On my 55 it is jumping out of the hole in the stirrup. Any good ideas on what is wrong?

I had to replace the yoke in mine when I added the front Disc brakes, but the old one had a couple spacers and a spring that held everything in place. I also had to replace the Shoulder bolt that went between the yoke and transmission bracket because it was worn out. Check out Mid Fifty Catalog page 166 for parts.

Been trying to assemble our truck from a pile of parts and was scratching my head for quite a while...I'd agree with Indy or suggest a drilled hole with a cotter and washer to keep it located where it should be....But that's my shadetree mechanic talking, not my restorer.

On mine the shoulder bolt (7555) and bushing (7610) were so bad that it allowed the yoke to move around.
I would bet yours has same problem. If you can find some spacers that fit on the clutch/brake shaft (7506) you could eliminate the play.
