H&S Tuner Stolen

Fellas,
I have a 2012 6.7 PSD, have been using a H&S minimax tuner, truck is all deleted.

My tuner was stolen out of the truck. The truck is currently tuned (medium setting if I recall). Looking at H&S's website, appears they are now out of business.

So.....I assume to get back to stock I either have to find some over priced H&S tuner or bring to Ford which would require putting all the emission junk back on, right????

Looking ahead, I spoke with SP**tan...they said the truck would have to be flashed to stock before I could upload one of their tunes.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

Not sure about where to go from here, but aren't the H&S tuners VIN locked? If so a call to the various shops who deal with H&S tunes would probably be a good first step at recovering yours. Check your local CL also as I know in the mid atlantic area there are several shops who can unlock H&S tuners. Good luck.

Sorry this happened to you...

You're still flashed with the H&S MM 'stock' tune no matter what it was set on before it got ripped. More or less, now your just like the tuners that only flash the pcm.

As soon as the MM is removed, the ecu reverts back to the stock setting power level but keeps the delete intact. It will go like this forever.

And yes, 93-331-29PSI is correct, the tuner is locked to your vin and can't be used without an expensive unlock code.

You can tune right over whatever you have in your truck now with another MM or any H&S type tuner/clone/hybrid, etc... Not sure about other tuners, but would think on a 2012 you should be able to find one that does..?

Oh man that sucks. I'd call SPE, Maryland performance Diesel, Rudy's, etc. See if anyone has any skills that they won't publish online to help you. I hope karma pays that thief a lesson.

Like I said above, you're back to 'stock', but just to be clear, 2 types of stock going on here.

1) stock oem that needs all emissions present and accounted for or truck WON'T run.

2) H&S MiniMaxx 'stock' setting'...

I know this doesn't apply to your theft, but if you might buy a less expensive used MM make sure it is removed correctly before you buy it...

Many make this mistake when removing their MM to sell truck or sell the MM. They set the truck instantly 'on the fly' to stock on the MM power level settings and then remove the MM and latter on find out the MM wont work now because its vin locked.

The way it has to be done takes 5-10 minutes to flash/download and reload the stock oem pcm software that is stored in your MM linked to your trucks vin. Only after this is done can the MM be used on other trucks. And the truck it was taken off of needs all emissions reinstalled in order for truck to run again.

Because his tuner got taken .. and it's stuck with a delete kit if he wants to put it back to factory he could put a new one in that does not have a tuner Vin locked to it... that's why

Sorry to hear that. Just run your truck just like it is. It will just do like normal, just don't let anybody re-program the PCM or else you will be stuck in a hard spot and pretty much forced to return to stock and then you will really be out the money for the tuner AND delete kit. I don't mean to rub it in, but this is the exact reason why I don't keep my tuner in the truck ever......I just run the truck on stock power level(aka the actual tuner is removed, so the truck has no power upgrades, it just doesn't have the emissions stuff). I do tend to throw the tuner back on there from time to time.
