Does this happen to you?
When they do it to me while driving my Fusion, I get a heavy brake foot when they tail gate me

Funny story though... About 3 weeks ago I was making a night store run to pick up some random crap for my wife (you've all done that) and when I pulled out of my neighborhood i was behind a Lifted Silverado that was creeping along really really slow on a 45mph zone. So I was about to "horn him" with my air horn to get him moving. Well, about 1/100th of a second before I hit the horn button, he hit his (unknown to me at the time) train horn and scared the bagibas out of me. I swear I almost had a heart attack. He then sped up to the speed limit and continued on his way.. I laughed and had to give him mental kudos for one upping me.
I get pissed every now and then, but most of the time I just go on my merry way. I do occasionally laugh out loud at people in a way they can see I'm laughing at them and how stupid they are. Especially the cumm-ons boys with their huge fart pipe exhaust and ghost trailer mirrors.
Other times I give them a thumbs down where they can see it. I try to avoid the middle finger in case they are video recording so it doesn't appear I'm being the antagonizer.
He's got the whole douchebag package going on. Mirrors out, stacks, sticker, towing hitch in, tow rope hanging out....seriously???
So as I get that point and start to move to the center of the now one lane someone always tries to get me to move with their little car.
They think they should get in front of me.
The dynamic of people and cars is fascinating. Somehow, when people get in their vehicle they transform into a completely different personality. Folks immediately decide that they're invisible, anonymous, and entitled. The ones that drive overly aggressive really crack me up, I love it when they weave through traffic, irritate about 5 people with stupid impatient moves that screw up traffic. Then they park at the gas station I'm going to and I get right next to them and stare. They usually are complete introverts that will not make eye contact. It's like they are all about being a super tool in their vehicle but face to face they're truly incapable of being a man.
I always say to anyone that will listen, if you can drive in such a way as if you're face to face making eye contact with those around you, you'll be much better off and so will everyone else. That "bridge" from being anonymous to being personal is a big one to cross. I guess is takes maturity.
But yes, people are self absorbed so much nowadays that they'll be suckered into believing that what they drive transposes into the kind of person they are, or want to be. Ironically, the only people on the road that inspire me to blindly assume that they are respectful are the ones driving clean, well cared for pickups towing a camper full of kids gear/bikes strapped all over it. I dunno, it just kind of makes me happy to see parents making that sort of commitment to family fun.

Wonder if that would have any effect on the driving habits of such narcissistic drivers or even catch the attention of their passengers.
When driving the truck, the worst for me are those who cut in front to be the first car at the light or make a quick turn in front of you, they think a 7k+ lb truck can stop on a dime like a 1.5 ton car.
One of my buddies at work has a train horn in his silverado. He also has really dark windows so you never know if he's in there or not. He'll bump it sometimes while people walk in to work....really funny to watch. He's gotten me a couple of times if I park next to him.
And then there's the left lane drivers....I wish it was legal to carry a paintball gun just for these reasons!!
My previous SD seemed to get more attention than my new one. Maybe due to it being bright red and blacked out. Looked kinda mean and modified. Cumm-ons guys frequently messed with me in it. The new silver SD blends in more and is stock, so diesel punks so far have not paid much attention.
Randy's Road Rage episode --
Many years ago in the early 80's - Dallas Texas - 7AM (early rush hour) - Loop-12 northbound. Me - driving my 81 F150 4x4 all stock with creeper gear 4spd.
Was in the middle lane of three lanes doing the 55 speed limit with cars all around us.
Jerk in a Vega (remember those) station wagon was so close behind i could not see any part of his car except when now and again he'd pop into my side mirrors.
I just kept driving with traffic as I always did as it never pays to try and hurry-up Dallas traffic.
Suddenly he shoots over into the left lane and pulls along side me... Blowing his horn, flipping me the bird and swerving at me..
I slow down to let him pull further ahead and he slows down.
Cursing at me and flipping me off...
I slow down even further and cut in behind him to keep him from hitting me.
He brake-checked me.. I hit the binders and my wife is getting scared... I am convinced now that this guy has me pegged for someone else. I told her that I was going to do a late exit on the next exit to get away from him.. I pull back into the middle lane to get ready to make a dash across traffic on the next exit.
He pulls in front of me and brake checks me really hard!!!
That's it....
I hit him.
Then back off and he does it again.
FUGGET!
I blasted him...
Then he holds onto the brakes and has us down to 35-40 MPH.
You EFFER!!!!!
I'll teach you to not EFF with me!
I downshifted into third and floored it... At somewhere close to 70 MPH my engine was at redline and the smoke from his locked tires was rolling so hard, I could barely see....
Wife was screaming at me and I finally snapped out of it...
I backed off and started pulling over to the shoulder of the road to exchange information with this pr!ck... We both pulled over - he was about 100' ahead of me. The back end of his car was literally destroyed. No taillights, license plate gone, rear hatch swung part the way open..
I shut off the truck and got out with my insurance card and started walking toward his car.
He never made an attempt to get out of his car. He saw me coming and just took off!
He musta thought I was gonna kill him... I may have looked a bit intimidating at 6'4" and 230#...
On the way back I surveyed the damage on my truck. A small crinkle in my license plate with a small dent behind it along with a dented bumper bolt cover.. Nothing else!
In retrospect - I realize I could have injured someone or maybe even killed them. I'd not had the red-mist since I was in the service and hope to never have it again..
I was a believer in FORD TOUGH long before Dearborn started using it as a slogan..
