I've introduced myself over at the intro page but wanted to say hello to the other 6.7 guys here. I've been lurking from Afghanistan, missing my truck and and reading about mods, accessories, etc. The wife is getting my bed line-x'd before I get back and them I'm planning on getting replacement front and rear bumpers when I get back. I'm from TX, stationed in NC, so I know Ranch Hand... and that's pretty much it. I'm looking at the sport series with the 15k winch option right now. Just wondering if there's anything else out there that provides the same durability for a better price, function, look, etc. I really want the front hitch and prefer a winch compatible front (so I can add the winch later).
My truck:
2013 F350 DRW FX4 Lariat
Long bed
Tuxedo Black
Chrome package (hate it)
Factory 5th/goose package
Pull a 40' TT
Haha, I probably wouldn't be on here much either in that case.
Googled the fusion bumpers. I really prefer the full grill guard type bumper over just the lower style bumper or bull bar bumper. Looking for Iron cross and smitty built now. Internet in Afghanistan is horribly slow lately (as in the last 100 years or so).
Welcome man...new guy to new guy. And thank you for your service! Do you want a full bumper replacement like the RH/Kasper Legend series with the pipe bottom and the wrap around full top including headlights or do you want pipe bottom prerunner look like the RH/Kasper Bullnose? FYI they weigh about double similar footprint competition unless you get the ones I just mentioned in the lighter gauge RH/Kasper Summit series. The Summit series is RH's answer to the very competitive bumper replacement markets best sellers. I know their products intimately (sounds kinda funny) and will help with questions. Feel free to DM me.

Definitely the full wrap around including headlights. I've only ever seen the legend in person but have been looking at the "sport" winch ready bumper as it appears to be the same build quality as the legend but with a higher winch rating. I prefer the look of the pipe bumper over the squared channel but not enough to beat out the winch rating.
Cajun hasn't been on in a couple weeks, but he did recently get hitched, maybe they just haven't come up for air yet
First of all.... Welcome Chris to FTE and THANKS for your service!!!!! I responded to your question on the other trend.
Second...Hello to everyone... I am alive and well.... Got back from honeymoon, and brought home a case of H1N1 FLU.. Was down for 3 weeks... Back in the saddle now and just been very busy at work. I have been following FTE just not posting. Will be up grading next week to bilstein shocks. Just gotta get home and get my truck measured.

You got it nailed. The Sport series winch ready has a significantly higher winch rating, probably the highest in the biz actually. They do so much volume that they can price lower than most of the high end competition. You should call the Irving store and ask what the closest distributer is to you. You may luck out but most likely it's states away. If you want to pull the trigger on a Ranch Hand product and don't mind a drive to DFW to get it I can help with a discount. I believe they have the same discount I get (fleet) for active service so ask. Ask for Amanda. She is the store manager. Tell her big Blaine sent you. Good Luck!
XXLTexan, I'll definitely give them a call when I get back. Have you seen the Hammertone finish in person? I was thinking about getting the bumpers line-x'd but wasn't sure if the Hammertone was comparable to that already.
I have the Ranch Hand legend Series front and back. I drove to the factory outlet in Boerne Tx, saved on shipping and markup from a retailer.
I had them install the front bumper because they had the forklift. I installed the rear. Had to go back later for the rear as they didn't have any in stock.
I do plan on Line-Xing them once they start to show chips and wear.
My side steps are Nfab and I did Line-X them as they are exposed to all the road debri.
Thanks Gunny. I'm just tossing around the idea of getting them line-x'd but it probably makes sense to let the factory finish do it's job for a bit then line-x them later if needed.

The Ranch Hand latex PC is awesome and I believe it has a lifetime warranty (now). I would wait for them to show rust before you spray them (unless you are doing it for the look which is cool) as the newer gen ranch hands (10 years and newer) has a really nice PC job that I have not seen rust except where they have had contact and compromised the PC. The outlet and retail stores sell "seconds" with no warranty on PC and some of them are so good they have to point out why they are being sold as "seconds".
When I had an 08' I bought from Tough Country from the DFW area. I Also bought side steps. I love the product. My only criticism is the front line sales and or customer service.
I received my bumper with a portion I didnt want. they said ship it back at their expense ($400) I said no, I'll have a local welder cut the part off and weld a cap on if they pay the $50. They agreed. After 3 requests, I still dont have my $50. And then, when I received the side steps, it was short a bracket, again, I asked 3 times. 6 years and I'm still waiting. But, they make great products. Here is a link. I had the Apache series.
