its odd, when its Hot outside (105* today) truck has a hard time starting almost called tow today. this has happened a couple of time this month. Today EOT after it started was 170. The other day 103* outside 114 EOT once started. Early mornings (0500) 60-70* no problem starting, yet. Should I be looking at the COLD or HOT hard/no start section?
I am 600 miles late for oil and fuel filter change and I do have a stiction problem. all three will be addressed Saturday. Just want to see if there is anything else I should pay attention too. Since I'm dedicating that day to the truck - detailed inspection, lube, fluid changes, ect..
Sounds like you've got the beginning of a high pressure oil leak, thus why it only does it when it's warm. Is the truck hard to start after it has been run recently?
This thread should get you started. It's toward the bottom of the first post.
when its been running shut off to in store or short stops it starts up just fine.
most of the time it starts right up w very few rotations. the only thing that appears to be consistent when it's difficult is EOT
100-150 outside temp over 102.
its onlt happened about 4 times in the last 150 starts
