Driver power window
I'm a newly single parent to four girls, so please keep this in mind when responding as I am doing this myself and do not have a lot of money.
My window messed up this past week and I was able to get it up (and keep it there) until this weekend (today) so that I could fix it. Removed door panel and what nots to view the enternals of it. There's a "****" on the end of the arm (sorry, I don't know all the proper names) that slides back and forth on a track. The **** came out of the piece that it sits in, that slides in the track.
How in the heck do I get this dang **** back into the hole. It seems almost impossible.

It kind of sounds like the regulator has failed. You don't say what year Expe this is so "****" and "arm" may be something else than what I'm envisioning.
Take a look at this post. "Yardbird" posted an excellent how-to in '08 detailing the replacement of the window regulator. I've done both front doors in mine and it's pretty straight forward. Getting the door skin off may be the most complicated part.

My apologies, it's a 98 Navigator 5.4 2x2.
I read through the post you supplied (thank you so much by the way). However, it seems as if you have to replace the ENTIRE thing?? I surely hope not, although it wouldn't surprise me if this is the case.

Yes, thank you. I did check on prices for the entire piece, but I would like to just get the **** back in place seeing as how that's all that is wrong...does anyone know if this is possible?? Not to sound like a tight wad, but $70 could be new shoes for my girls before school starts back.

Anything is possible depending on your skill level and the tools at hand. The roller (or **** as you call it) is held in place by a pressed in rivet. It is not something that can simply be reinserted and expect to remain in place. You would have to roll the edges over after getting it back where it belongs. To do this you will also have to remove the entire regulator assembly. I get the whole pair of shoes deal, but sometimes things do break and have to be replaced.

If it's come apart I would expect the cables to have unwound and getting them back in their proper place could be a challenge.

If her profile is acurate, then she has a 98 Navigator so there are no cables, just tracks and a lift arm. I think it wasn't until 2003 that the regulator was redesigned using cables.

If your motor is still working, then you just need the regulator. Be VERY CAREFUL when you switch the motor to the new regulator as it is under tension and will swing back and embed itself somewhere on your hand. I found this out the hard way!(3 stitches).
You might also need new glue for the supports that hold the window in place.
While the door card is off, check the condition of the bottom of the door for rust, etc. Spray some rust converter on it if it is rusty.
If the regulator is riveted in you will need to drill them out. Replace with t-10 (?) screws.

I also have this problem. I have a 98 expy so the part should be the same. You can buy just the regulator for about $30. I haven't repaired mine yet, but I have also heard that you need to take precautions when removing the motor from the old regulator or it will snap back on your hand and cause some pretty bad damage. Someone suggested using clamps. Also I have read about a 2 part epoxy and a 3m brand adhesive are best to reglue the glass.
