Engine Shutting Off
Hi Guys;
i have a 1998 Expedition , which i love..
But Lately when i come back from the train it has turned of about 6 times. Mind you its only a 2.5 mile drive.. and today i cranked it up to see how it was doing and it was idling super rough.. when you throttle it up it smooths out then it turns off...

I don't think you indicated what engine you have. But basically, its around the back side of the intake manifold. IIRC, on the 4.6 its not visible, but you can find it by feel. Just follow the PCV hose from the right side valve cover and you should "feel" the elbow to see if its all soft and mushy (trademark term
) or colapsed.
