First off - hi! I've been skimming posts and have already gotten a lot of useful information.
Hopefully I can enlist a little help. My 2003 Expedition (5.4) has been throwing the P2195, P2197, P0171, and P0174 codes. Today, I located what I believe is the faulty part (or at least one of them). I have checked every online parts catalog and message board that I can think of. I've Googled my brains out and I still can't get a nomenclature or part number on this thing.
If any of you can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
As you can see in the photo, there are rubber connectors on either end, one straight and one elbow, and they are both shot.
The elbow was connected to a tee to the left of the engine and the straight piece was connected right at the side of the engine. I can try to get a photo of where it was and post that tomorrow if that will help.
Now that I'm remembering more, the straight connector was also part of a tee that went almost directly into the left side of the engine, about mid-way.
I'll get under the hood with camera this afternoon and snap some pics of what's going on under there.
Okay - more photos. I'm convinced it's part of the PCV system, but the drawings on the ford parts website aren't clear enough for me to see exactly which part this is. Hopefully, I got detailed enough with these to give a more accurate representation of where the faulty part was located.
This is all to the side of the engine, mostly under the dust cover, on the passenger side.
The part on the ford parts website is "Crank Case Vent Hose and Connector." The lines in the drawing all go to the same places as the network of tubes that my bad part came from... however, the parts in the drawing don't necessarily look like what's under the hood of my truck.
