k guys im almost done with my tranny sawp. And while doing it i had my column from my Manual truck and my auto truck on the bench. When you lock the column the manual one doesnt move. And my auto column turns about 2 inches each way. My auto one has always been veryy sloppy. And when i drove the truck it would go clunk clunk clunk. So when i just went to put my column back in i noticed the bar that goes the the steering box has a ton of play and makes the clunk noise. I know i can fix that with a new gear box. However what do i do about my steering column? How do you make it tighter??
yea both tilt wheels. I just went back into the shop and looked, right where the shaft goes into the gear box the shaft is sooo loose. Like ready to break off loose haha...So time to get a gear box.
