The day is coming that my poor ole 302 is going to give up on my 93 F150. (The one in my avitar) I've always wanted to put a nasty 460 in it. I am going to put a carburated 460ish with a C6 behind it. I am going to start getting things together for that. I have a C6 from a 77 F250 with a 205 behind it. I was wanting to still use my current 1356 transfer case. I am sure I can come up with the linkage for that. maybe some of you guys have some that you would be willing to sell. I was recommended to check with Ford for the brackets to attach my shifter cable up to it. Anybody know of any other places to find brackets for the cable besides Ford or a salvage yard. The salvage yards around here have cruched most of these body style trucks. I have no faith in local salvage yards and finding parts.
Next question is will the speedometer still work without the E4OD and computer? I know it reads off the exciter ring in the rear axle but where it goes from there I don't know. All I know is that sensor in the rear axle caused the transmission not to shift and speedomter not work one time when it went bad.
