1993 E350 with 460 throttle cable

I am looking for a throttle cable for my 1993 E350 with 460. I was hoping someone on this site might know how I can get my hands on one. I have tried the ford dealer, all kinds of salvage yards, and am currently in the process of hitting up custom cable builders. I would appreciate any insight into a source for this cable. The ford dealer says the part numbers are different after 93 so I guess I am going to have to hit the nail on the head with the actual year.

Try posting this in the 385 series (429/460) forum. They would probably be a better help.
Good luck with your search!
And welcome to FTE

Thread moved to the 385-series forum, which includes the 460 - WELCOME to FTE!

(on second thought, this might go better in the van forum, but let's see what happens)

The Ford part # is F3UZ-9A758-E . Fits 1993 460 vans ONLY. It is obsolete from Ford, and no dealers anywhere in the nation show to have one. Also unavailable from any of the usual obsolete parts sources such as Vintage parts or Green Sales.
I don't know what's different about 93 versus 94-6, but if you can find a used one you might be able to make it work.

I have a 1965 motorhome built on a P500 chassis. I removed the original 300 big block and put in a 460. The one indispensible resource for getting this done was hot rod and street rod magazines. Buy one. Look for Lokar brand cables. Measure out what you need and buy a cable a little longer. You can cut the cable and housing to make it the length you need. They're high quality with a teflon coated housing. Some fabrication might be necessary on each end and at the firewall, but this will get you going.
