NEED CAM HELP THXS

OK I need to to choose a cam for a sd efi 460, I will be Putting bout 6 grand in to the engine over time . But for right now . I need a High torque 4x4 cam that will pass Cali smog i have two picks so far any advice would be great ty
its for going to the snow in the winter, mudding once in a while, Beach sand Most the time, and its a daily drive , I can care less bout gas milage atm ,

If you are going to put that much in then go with a stroked B.B.

well it still has to pass smog, here in califorina I am very limited to what I can do.. thats another reason why it cost so much ,these where my onlytwo choices for ca legal.

Is't there any exemption for older vehicles in your state ?

good luck?

check into banksperformance? not sure what you can get away with in california. I just figure try and make your engine more efficient. meaning maybe look at possible ignition upgrades or gearing upgrades also. emmission make it rough on play time. what trany do you have possible things to do up upgrade tranny to free up hrspwr?

Call this guy and get a custom grind, spec'd for your truck, for about the same $$ as the cams you linked. The comp computer controlled would be my choice if forced to choose from the two linked.

Do the cams linked have California EO #s? If not, they are not really legal. If the truck runs clean I can't see how the inspectors would know your cam wasn't stock, so it probably doesnt matter..

i used the 34-255-5 cam. Its working very well
