Nice... It literally takes 5 mins to put in. My dealer was nice enough to cut my keys, program them, and activate the remote start parameter in the BCM for free.

I hope you have the same luck!

That's why I ordered my 09 F550 with the factory remote start.

Good call... It was better to let the people at the KTP Mod Center who are trained in the slicing and dicing of wires to deal with it...

That was mighty nice of them. Finding service like that these days is like winning the lottery...

Well I dont have the same luck I called my dealer and they want $125.00 to activate it for me.But my friend owns a shop and he has the diagnostic computer for fords so he is going to do it for me after I install the kit.And I will just program the keys myself.

New user here. Just bought a 2011 supercab XLT long bed 4x4 PSD and wanted to add the remote start. Here in Houston one dealer wanted $850 to add the bidirectional and another wanted 450 to add this one. Quoted me $265 parts and 2hrs, labor (1 hr install and 1hr programming). I'd rather buy the part and install myself and I am wondering what dealer you guys ordered yours from and also what is the exact part #? Only upside about the $ 450 install was they said 3yrs 36k warranty if they do it.

Thanks, Jeff
