Went through my share of ignition issues

Never tried the Pro Comp so I cannot comment on it's quality. I tried the Pertronix flame thrower II distro and coil set up. Went through two sets and the system would not work on my 460. Didn't have wiring issues, the truck has a brand new American Autowire harness in it.

Finally pulled the trigger on the MSD setup. 6AL box, non vacuum advance HEI distro and outboard coil. The system is great. burns cleaner, fires right up, and warms that big block up in half the time.

The only thing I can advise is to steer clear of the Pertronix plug and play systems. I bought the first one it didn't work (Fired on 1 cylinder) and the second, replacing the first, did even less. I can buy that I got one faulty unit but two in a row?

So is there a wire that goes to the "s" terminal that is not shown? I presume the start-hot from ignition switch?

S terminal is for activating the solenoid(key in start position), sending power to the starter and I terminal.
