I Just recently purchased an 07 F150
I am not so much interested in Horsepower increase"but wouldn't mind it"
gas mileage is more my goal, i have looked into buying a cold air system around 300, and just putting on a regular cone for around 50 what is the most beneficial im not so worried about spending the extra money if it is that much better than slapping on a cone, What is the best route?
x2 on the Gotts Mod. Sure it's not the engine bling of a CAI, but save that extra $285 and put it towards a tuner. You'll be much happier with custom tunes and the stock intake.
thanks for the input the gotts mod is very cheap, and proves effective
"proves effective" may be stretching it a bit. In theory this should help but only at WOT and even then, no one is 100% sure it is effective. Honestly if you're driving around often at WOT then you're not concerned in the least with MPG.
The CAI on the otherhand does not net the benefit that $300+ should provide.
The real help in both MPG and HP will come from a tuner.
But remember that the cheapest MOD on earth would be your driving habits.
