Update: I tried to find a Flowmaster muffler made of stainless steel but to no avail. I really did not want an aluminized muffler when everything else is stainless. So I found a Magnaflow muffler part#13762. This muffler has a nice rumble at idle and no drone at any RPM, however it has this annoying high pitched whistle above 2500 RPM's, I am hoping it will go away on it's own (yeah right). Back to the drawing board.
MWSF250, I believe Johnny Langton also had the idea of putting an additional muffler on there as well.
And I did. The truck has a HUGE Magnaflow straight through type muffler on it in a center/offset configuration, and ahead of that, it has an Edelbrock Victor series "split-flow" type muffler. Made a BIG difference in drone and overall resonance/loudness, but I still do NOT like it.

To those out there with Flowmaster mufflers, do you have any drone inside the cab with those mufflers. I am interested in either 70 series part #530702 or 50 series part #530502. Both of these mufflers are single 3" in and dual 2.5 out. I purchased the Gibson dual extreme stainless steel exhaust system for my '08 V10, the tailpipes are excellent quality and fit perfectly. However my experience with Gibson mufflers means drone, drone and more drone. For now the Gibson muffler is on there, but I need to find something that doesn't buzz the eardrums. Thanks.
I've had both in a short box super cab and I have not heard any kind of annoying drone. I tow alot in the winter and figured I would get it then and still nothing.
That Magnaflow I mentioned earlier, really sounds nice but there is that whistle, like a tea pot, that is really annoying. It only occurs between 2300RPM's and 3200RPM's. At first I thought it might be a vacuum leak but I could not find one. I will call Magnaflow on Monday and see what they say.
Update: after my third Magnaflow muffler, (all 3 had that annoying whistle), I went with the Flowmaster #530702. The Flowmaster is a lot quieter than the Magnaflow and NO DRONE. Still has a nice rumble at start up, then it quiets down after it warms up. Inside the cab, you cannot hear it unless you put the windows down. I am pleased.

Hi dualwheels66 good info thanks
Can you post a pic up of what everything looks like?
When it comes to technology, I am in the stone age. I don't have anything to record sound or take a picture to put on the net, and if I did, I would not know how to post it, sorry.
