So I effed up. When I finished rebuilding my HPOP and re-installed it I did not seat the oil pump gear correctly and the teeth have been chipped of the front edge of the timing gear. They are not completely broken but IMO, once they are started breaking, they will finish. Right?
So my question is, what is the procedure that I need to follow to get this opened up and repaired? I will be ordering a timing gear kit first thing in the morning and hopefully have it up and running (AGAIN) by this Monday. I am actually hoping by Sunday so I can go snagging salmon but I am not holding out any hope.
So if you all can post instructions, pics or parts that I will need, I would greatly appreciate it. It was wonderful getting help from everybody when repairing the leaky HPOP so I am humbly asking advice again.
Slow down man. It isn't a TIMING GEAR it is a DRIVE GEAR of the High Pressure Oil Pump. Take some pics of your damage and post them. The experts will swoop in shortly...
Yes. The gear that sits right below the oil reservoir that sits right in front of the fuel filter and HPOP. What is the exact name of that gear so i may order one?

Based on your description above..."right below the reservoir and in front of the fuel filter and HPOP"...then I would say you were talking about the blue gear in this photo. If so, then it's your HPOP drive gear. There may be a more technical name......hopefully someone will help out with the description....
EDIT: I see in the Adrenaline instructions it's called a "drive gear". (I continue to learn something new every day...)
At any rate, if the drive gear has broken teeth, then perhaps the cam gear has some also. In the first photo I posted, I would call the small gear a "Crank gear" and I would call the larger gear a "'Cam gear". Are you able to see the condition of the cam gear teeth? I suspect the cam gear would be pretty hard to see unless you had something like a boroscope. Maybe with the reservoir removed it would be possible to look down in there and inspect the cam gear??
I think I have an extra pump gear somewhere if you need it. Let me know and I will get it to you. Post some pics so we know what we are working with as well.
I do definitely need a pump gear. I think I may have gotten a tad lucky as I caught it fast and shut it down quick. I don't have a boroscope but my brother does have one of those listening tools and that is how he pinpointed the sound. Initially he thought the timing gear was damaged but after he looked on the net he came to the same conclusion as you folks. And now I gotta change the oil 1500 miles early to get the metal chunks outta the oil pan. But no biggie there. My thing is just getting to the thing to repair and replace.

I can get pics tonight. I can't upload pics, view pics or post them at work. I can read this thread though, so if any of you can help with good instructions on removal and a materials list that I will need that would be awesome.
Living where I live it's hard to go to a good parts store and get what you need. Everything is special order and I gotta get it ordered today in order to receive it tomorrow.
In that cut-away photo, the gear that has broken teeth is the larger one that is located directly below the blue gear. The blue gear is ok, a few burrs but I can have that cleaned up here in the machine shop at work. I need to order the large gear.
