The seller did the bill of sale based on he says it's a 1966 since 66 is in the tag number as above, please decifer for me.

Can you tell the rear ratio with this or do I need the tag off the rear end? Original color? thanks
The seller did not have a clue when he made out the bill of sale. It's not a 1966 ... it's a 1965.

F10 = F100 2WD

J = 240 IV I-6.

L = Michigan Truck Assembly Plant.

661479 = 1965 assembled March 1965.

661,479 is the Numerical Sequence of Assembly, the trucks specific serial number.

1965 serial number range: 580,001 thru 732,000.

March 1965 serial number range: 660,000 thru 671,999.

The Warranty Plate, located on the left door face below the latch, has codes for the COLOR, AXLE, TRANS and etc.

Another Question concerning my OTHER 65 (have 3 )

The following is another 65 I bought BUT the owner billed it as a 64
1st Question, was there ANY late 64s that had the I Bean front suspension?, this one does
Here is the Warranty Number as it is on the door 64? 65?
F 1 0 0 D K 7 1 5 0 7 5
W.B. 115
COLOR M = ?
MODEL F101
BODY 581 = ?
TRANS A = ?
AXLE 07 = ? 3.00
MAX G.V.W. = 4200
CERT 172 = ?
H.P. 4000 = ?
RPM 21 = ?
I think I've got some of the above out of order, since the way the tag is made I'm not sure, BUT every decoder I can find doesn't show the above as a valid number, what do you have?
Thanks
I hope I haven't bought a bogus stolen truck Yikes, that's why I haven't tried to get this corrected at the tax office after I found the problem, now the guy I purchased it from is no longer found.

Hopefully NumberDummy can help me out also. This was my Grandfather's 1964 F-250. I'm new to this forum and also Fords and want to take this pickup back to original. Here is the info.
F25BG480521
128 B F250 L81 F 26
7500 132 3600 55
From reading other forums I have found out a little with the vin and color code but unsure about everything else. Thanks for the help.
