last night the truck didnt seem to shift like normal, then when i got pulled out the second time i didnt have P R or N every gear i hit was a forward gear and all felt the same...
today got it all cleaned off trailer cleaned and dried crawled under it got to looking thinking maybe the linkage on the side the tranny had worked loose and was slipping on the tranny, but nope its extremely tight, get to looking and bam there it is the shifter cable had split the side out and the wire was pushed all out the side of the plastic coating...
just got off the phone with jegs got a new 'high performance' cable on the way
In a pinch I've cut a fuel line, slid it over the shifter cable, and zip tied, and electrical tape the fuel line on, and it worked great the rest of the weekend.

That is a good idea, but by the time i was postive something was Fubared it was to late for that i was pulled out the first time and lining up for my second pass for back to back runs, and like i said i thought it was slipping on the tranny now its setting in the yard on the trailer until next weekend if my Diesel is finished then it may head to Sanford...
