I was going to put a spring in there, and replace the t-stat with high flow one like a MR Gasket. I have a high flow water pump on it. I didn't figure a spankin new hose would do that. Cheap chinese **** I guess.

drill some 1/8" holes around the perimeter of your current t-stat or just take the plunger deal out all together.
Really no need for a "highflow" t-stat in most cases. Im using a Flowcooler waterpump on George. Ive never seen that MFer go above 185-190* (180* t-stat) It kicks ace.

I need this one to warm up, its in my 94, I like the heater to work 
I do have a high flow 180. At the house, I just wanted a 195 in it. I have the worst luck when it comes to t stats

Like Kris said drill atleast 1 1/8" hole in the flange. I do this on all my tstats. Helps in filling the system mainly but just a good idea IMHO.
