Drain plug torque?

Drain plug torque?
I have done all my oil changes and always used a new copper gasket and cinched it down good, never had a leak or any problem. I have never found a torque spec in the manuals? Is there an actual torque spec for the drain plug?

I have a Fumoto valve now but before I used to snug it up and walked away.

I thought it was risky too but once you see the design of the Fumoto, you will get a better idea on how they work. Not risky at all and I don't use the safety ring. I off-road my truck on occasions plus drive through some deep snow at winter time. There is more risk of something puncturing the oil pan than having the plug fail. Plus, you never have to worry about cross-threading or stripping out your oil pan or pesky leaks around the crush washer. It's pretty cool.

I also have the Fumoto, no more oil drips. Don't hold me to this, but I think I remember reading somewhere the oil drain bolt is torqued @ 28 pounds??
