Early 99 vs Late 99 brakes

How do I know if I have early or late 99 brakes? I've heard that the early sits 1/4 inch further away from the axle, but if I don't have an early and late side by side, how do I know what a 1/4 inch more is?

I've searched around the forum a bit, but I'm admittedly lame about search functions, and didn't find what I'm looking for.

Can someone give me a way to figure out what brakes (both front and rear) are on my truck so I can order from Clay at Riff Raff? I don't want to ship something as heavy as rotors from DC to Oregon because I ordered the wrong part. My build date is 2/99 and I've read all kinds of stories about people with late motors and early susp/brakes.

Any help is appreciated.

Man you are right there in the danger zone... a build sheet won't do you any good...
How about this- have Clay measure the new rotors (or see if you can find the spec online) and measure your rotors to see if the depth is the same or not.

You could take off a rotor and go to the stealership and have them get you the part number for your brakes then order them on the net for cheaper
