I have recently gotten the reflash.
Is it true that I'm supposed to be able to see which gear I'm in while driving with the transmission in "D"? If so, what screen?
I don't have it yet, but its my understanding it shows up in the lower right hand corner of the information screen (between the speedometer and tach). I'm waiting a bit before I get the flash, giving them a chance to get all the kinks out. I've been through enough stress with this truck for a bit.
In the lariat it should be on the right side of the screen, but you have to activate it the first time by pressing the + on the shifting column. The issue was before that you had to press the + every time you started the truck, now it's supposed to stay in the mode you leave it when shut off.
Put the transmission into drive, press the + to activate the gears screen.
Put the transmisision into Park. Shutdown the truck.
Startup, put into drive and the gear display should automatically load to the screen.
You can do that over two trips to prevent a useless start.

EXACTLY.
I did this before I took mine in for the tune and then tried it again afterwards. Great way to quickly check and see if you have the new flash/tune.
I guess I need to read my manual, didn't realize you could do this. Tried it last night and realized by 40 mph I'm already in sixth gear (450 with 4.30 rear end). Great feature, really helps me understand my fuel economy goes down on the freeway!
