I'm a guy who had the reflash done before it was suspended. I know part of it took because I don't have the surge when you push resume on cruse control. I do not get a message when I'm in regen.
The service writter is telling me the work is already done. I told him I didn't get the change to my message center.
Does the update include a notice when in regen in a job 1 truck? If you have a job 1 and had the reflash are you getting a message when your in reflash?
Got my Job 1 truck reflashed before they suspended it a couple months ago. I get the message "cleaning exhaust filter" when in regen. Have seen it at least three times since the reflash...
had mine done yesterday, I had to tell the dealer last Friday that the new flash was available, he didn't know, thanks to this site.... haven't got anything to report on regen's yet.
I got the latest flash in Sept and saw a the message displayed for what seemed like 20 minutes on a trip to Vegas. After that trip, it would only flash and I would have to scroll thru the message center to see it. I just had my truck reflashed yesterday with 08B07 but is too early to see a regen. I am curious to see if the message stays or flashes now.
I just had a regen with the the latest flash 08B07. "Cleaning Exhaust Filter" appeared in the message center for 10 miles/10 minutes. Mileage went from 9.8 to 9.2. I am going to keep track of the mileage to the next one.
I had the flash done before it got cancelled. My truck does show the message of "cleaning exhaust filter." But it is anoying as hell. It goes into regen about every 50-100 miles. I see the message more than I don't. Over the last 1500 miles since I got it reflashed I would say I have seen the message 20+ times. Not to mention my mileage has gone down by a solid 2mpg. Thing is I have not heard of anyone else having that issue nor have I read anything about any differences between that flash and this current one. The only difference, again from what I have read, is that this current one does not have issues with the computers. Other than that it's the same. Right? I need to call my dealer again and see what the deal is.

Once you see the "cleaning exhaust filter" message, do you drive it long enough to see the "exhaust filter drive complete" message and for the "cleaning exhaust filter" message to go away? If you do not drive it long enough for it to complete the cycle, it will keep reinitiating the DPF cleaning cycle each time you drive it until you do and this may be why you are seeing the message on such a frequent basis. It takes approximately 20 minutes at speeds above 30 mph to be able to complete a cycle. If the truck is not completing the cleaning cycle it will eventually give you a "drive to clean exhaust filter" message which means the DPF is full or nearly is. Failure to complete a cleaning cycle after seeing this message will eventually cause the truck to go into limp mode.
As for the flash... I have not seen anything saying that anything is different with the programming its self. It appears to be more so on how the tech applies it, making sure the connections are good and all the equipment batteries are fully charged...
Had mine done moments before the suspension and again must after it was re-instated. Still having other issues, but in regards to the "Cleaning Exhaust Filter" message, it now displays for just a moment and then I need to go through the System Tests to see it again. It is so quick that I normally miss it the first display and if curious I need to find it on the System Tests screen (last test).
had reflash last friday, driving the truck today the "cleaning exhaust filter" came on, stayed on for exactly for 20 minutes and dissappeared, no "cleaning complete" or anything, I actually drove around an extra 10 minutes for it to finish it's cycle, I wrote down the mileage and hours so I can see how long before it does it again....
