i'm pretty new at this, so excuse me if this sounds like a dumb question
what is reflash
Apparently, it's when they screw-up your truck by loading new code into your truck's computer. Go in with one complaint and they give you "fixes" for lots of stuff that you don't have problems with.
Vehicles come from the factory with one or more on board computers programmed to a set of parameters, as problems become evident for various concerns, the engineers rewrite the programming to resolve these issues (sometimes several at a time) and issue a reflash to the dealers to repair customer's complaints. The dealer connects to the vehicle and downloads the new programming into the vehicles onboard computers, and they refer to it as a reflash.
I have a feeling many dealerships reflash for just about any problem, maybe even for a flat tire , because it is the easiest thing to do. I have worked under the hood of a lot of vehicles and this one doesn't look like it would be much fun with the tight fit and so many things back under the dash, so from their standpoint why not reflash and hope that takes care of the problem.
