knowing as much as a 17 year old can know, i need some advice on building my 390. its in a 1976 ford f250 highboy. np435 4 spd. engine has 10k on rebuild and completely stock.
i wanna know what you guys think would be a good mild build for it.
so far i want:
edelbrock performer rpm
Holley carb (650cfm?)
headers
cam (not sure which one yet)
what else do you guys think i need? and what do i need to be aware of or replace. i dont want to break things.
im lookin to get anywhere between 350-400 hp and add as some torque. could care less about gas milege. to a certain extent. lol
That's a damn good FE right out of the box. And what ya list to add will perk it up nice. Welcome and have fun. One thing I used to add to my rides when I was your age was a fuel cut off switch low on the seat. Oh! Honey look we are way out here in the middle of nowhere and plum run out of gas. Now what are we gonna do?
