Which Ignition System to use

Taking a look at distributors and such. Mild 390 build. Looking for opinions on what you guys think would be a good pointless system to install. Not needing to go on the cheap but don't want to waste it either. Thanks guys

By the way, I got another thread in the general engine building forum. Could someone take a look and offer some advise? Thanks

You can always go with the Ford DuraSpark set up. You can pick up a new dist for a 75-76 year truck for about $60. Search the site, there are many a folk done the upgrade.

DuraSpark is the electronic (breakerless) dist. I use one to trigger my MSD 6AL box.

Or vice versa... yes it is the pointless ignition but integrates a box similar to the MSD systems, as Randy said.

Ordered the DUI dizzy today. Engine is deep Ford blue, Performer RPM left as is, and the cap and wires will be yellow. Headers will be HTC coated silver. Should look great under the hood. FYI, planning on truck being yellow w/blue accents, interior blue with yellow accents. Billet aluminum gauge plate, white gauges etc. IF I ever get it done. Everytime I look in here something else catches my eye and there goes some more $$$. Hell, would just have my wife buying purses and shoes anyway. Might as well get some good stuff with it, lol. What do you guys think about the engine compartment? Color scheme?
