Update - The truck is working fine. I finally got home in the daylight to try and find the latest problem, which turned out to be a boot on the drivers side at the radiator had pulled off. I am not sure why. I thought when I took everything apart I only loosened one clamp on each side of the boot. This is the side I didn't loosen ( I thought). After I got the boot on I could not slide the clamp over it so it must have been fairly tight, maybe just not enough. Who knows, but it is holding now.
I still have no idea what the original problem was. The plugs did not seem like they were loose but something is different and it runs, so that is good.
Also before the problem started there used to be a faint siren type noise between 50-65. It was always there. But now the noise is changed. It is only at 55-65 and intermittent. I could never find out what it was but maybe it has something to do with the intercooler.
Bottom line is that it is running and I can use it for work.
Thanks again for all the help.
I have thought it could be the turbo, so I have checked it a few times and it has always been tight, but I didn't know what else would cause the noise. It was odd to me that the noise changed after the repair. It has been doing it for the last 50k that I have owned the truck. I call those things radio noises. If I can't figure out the noise, but it doesn't seem to be a running problem, I turn the radio up until I can't hear it.
