things are going bad

so my truck has been actin funny. 1999 f-250 7.3 with a super chip. and at stops when i hit the peddle to sdtart goin again it revs up moves than dies. sometimes. getting more frequent. thought mabe it was the accerlerator position sensor and idle validation sensor so went to ford bought a whole new assembly not very cheap put it on truck responds much better but still dies. pulled codes:
1 voltage level low

2 ICP level lower than expected.

any ideas?

First thing to do is, take the superchip tune out and put it back to stock, to see if the chip is not messing with the trans.

Try cleaning the IPR first... it's not hard, just takes time. There's a PDF around here somewhere... just make sure to replace the O-rings while you've got it out. You can get it from guzzle (or Clay... from guzzle either way) of Ford... it's called an "IPR Rebuild Kit". It's three O-rings, a solenoid spacer, and a solenoid nut.

Here's the PDF: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/a...1&d=1282507648

Just make sure that when you do to unscreweing the "screw" that pulls the plunger out, you unscrew on the body of the IPR, not the end that you take off. There's a tiny set screw in that end, but it's not the piece you're looking for... I did that and so did another member so just keep that in mind. Mine was stuck on 11% and another member's truck would even run at all! He cleaned it up and the truck ran! Mine got it's spunk back. As far as the ICP sensor goes, (it's on the front of the driver's-side head on the inside edge, adjacent to the fuel bowl... it's the only thing with a plug), if there's oil in the connector when you pull the plug, then you should change it. I had to replace mine because I broke the connector off when I replaced my HPOP O-rings (it was that brittle... on top of that, it did have oil in the socket as well). Also, having AutoEnginuity helps too... you can read and monitor the live data and see what's outta whack.

Did you change your CPS? It may or may not have anything to do with it... hope this helps.

There are 2 different types of ICP sensors. One takes a 5/8" wrench and the other a 1 1/8".

Check the nut holding the IPR solenoid. It may be loose.

If you remove the IPR have new 0-rings on hand.
