FX4 versus 4X4

What is the difference between FX4 and 4X4 in the F350 Dually trucks?

skid plates and rancho branded shocks and the nice sticker. that is about it.

There is a bit more "bling" with the FX4; color-keyed front grill, "leather" interior, instrument gear ring bezels, some graphite weave on the dash panel, center console, tubular running boards, deep-rubber floor mats F&R, etc. Probably more is included, but you get the picture.

Functionally, as a 4X4, it's as stated in the previous post.

Actually depends on what year; Fx4 was an upgrade option then they made it a trim level option (Fx4 Luxury in 09 IIRC) like the Lariat trim; then in 2010 it went back to an upgrade package

Yep. Rancho shocks and skid plates.

Now why does't Ford have a *%#$ locker? I can't tell you how many times I spin my tires turning around on farm roads... Its pretty bad when you have to run in 4x4 to get back on the road out of a field.

The F150 FX4 has an e-locker. Don't know about the 250 FX4. I have an XLT.
