Where did you find this info? I'm pretty sure the FX4 has the same springs as non FX4, just different shocks, which wouldn't affect the ride height.
I just happen to have an FX4 and non FX4 truck that are otherwise nearly identical. I will try to remember to measure the fender heights tomorrow and see if there's any difference. They don't appear any different.
This level kit comes from ReadyLift. Part #:66-2052

I have the ReadyLift 66-2215 2.25". My truck is nearly level. The back is about 1/2" higher. I have a 6.5' bed though. I'm putting blocks in the back to get some rake back, just not the 3.25" I had before. Mine is an FX4.
FX4 (Blue Jeans) : 39 3/8" Rear /36 1/4" Front
4X4 (Bronze Fire): 39 7/16" Rear/36 5/16" Front
So, the 4X4 sits 1/16th inch higher front and rear, but the Front/Rear difference is identical (3 1/8" of rake). The only noteable difference between the trucks is that the BFM has an EB and the BJM has the 5.0. Perhaps even the weight of the skid plates accounts for this difference in height as the Blue Jeans weighs 41lbs more than the Bronze Fire..
I can't speak for any of the other years the kit says it's designed for, but it doesn't look like the 2016s have different rake.
I wouldn't say a 1/16th is much of a difference give...I'd be willing to bet you'd see more variability if you measured a bunch of trucks. So I'd say that's the same height...
Thanks for the information! I really appreciate it!
I'm thinking of both the 2.25" front and 3" or 4" rear block kit from ReadyLift. Going on the 2017 F150 3.5L Ecoboost FX4 6.5' bed...etc.etc.etc. I plan on placing an order February '17 for an estimated April delivery.
I still have time to decide...and do my research for the proper rake.
I believe I'll go with 3" blocks on the rear for my truck. That will give it an additional 1.5" in the rear from where it is now. Even though mine is nearly level, the back looks like it's dragging some. Probably an optical illusion due to the 6.5' bed.
My thoughts are go with a rake that is similar in ratio with the new 2017 SuperDuty trucks. Specifically the F350 4x4 SWB.
If I can accomplish that with the 2017 F150 that I take delivery, then I'll be a happy camper!!
I've always really liked my 2012 SD! It's been a dream of a truck for me and my needs. The only thing that I do not care for...is that it has NO rake at all. The 2011 and 2012 came out leveled OEM. I know I can add the F350 blocks in the rear to get the rake I like, but now that I am moving forward with an F150...just do not see devoting the resources at this time.
Time to go measure (front to back) a new '17 F350!! LOL!!
