6.7 ET's?
6.7 ET's?
Has anyone run a 6.7 at the track yet? I've been reading reviews and such, and I see quarter mile times reported from 16.4 to 17.2.
With that in mind, thought I'd post my results. Ran the 6.7 at the Rocky Mountain Truck Fest at Bandimere speedway in Colorado recently. My first pass was 16.01, Second was 16.1-something. Got rained out after that. This is at altitude, and also the first time I've ever run anything at a drag strip. Ambient temp was around 95 degrees if I remember right. Launched in four wheel drive, diff locked, and advance trac off. It was holding ~13 lbs of boost when I left the line, the computer management seems to limit that. When I first staged, the boost builds to around 20, then backs down.
I'm sure at lower altitude, with cooler temp, and definately with a more drag-savvy driver, this truck will do 15's bone stock.
My truck is job 1, still with the 390hp tune. Crew cab, long bed, with the camper package and low gears.
Also, FYI, I ran against a 2011 dirtymax on some backroads, it was a shortbed. We were dead even, so it will be interesting to try it with the new flash.
