I just installed a set of ISSPRO in my 01 F250 and was wondering what normal readings (approximate) should be for the Pyrometer, Trans oil, and Boost guage. Also, the boost guage stays on 0 until I get on it. I thought that even on normal driving (25-35mph) that you should still have a little boost. Is this not correct? My truck is stock except for the Tymar intake and the 4 inch turbo-back exhaust. Thanks for any help I can get.
Pyro crusing around town, 600-700. Red line is 1250 for most. Tranny is about 80-100 above air temp, most trucks sit about 150 or so unless towing. Boost when just cruising will read 0-8psi, most you will see with a mild chip is about 22-26
I recently installed the ISSPRO triple guages in my 01 F250 too. The trans takes a while to warm up when the outside temp is cold.
CSIPSD listed the numbers that I see too. My boost is between 3 and 8 when cruising. I do question my boost readings though due to residue around my boots. I just made a boost leak detector to double check.
gauge readings will depend on conditions and any optional equipment you have on your truck... my 02 with a mild tune, stock turbo, (except for the wicked wheel), and a large tranny cooler, readings while driving down the highway at speed, not towing, cool day in the sixties... boost will run between 0-10, maybe 12 if i pull a steep hill, egts will run between 300-800 again depending on the terrain, and tranny temps will not go above 100 if they get that high... the big cooler really makes a HUGE difference at highway speeds... i don't know how my truck compares to yours, but if you have a similar setup those are some good baseline numbers for you...
Thanks for the numbers. On the boost guage I'm only seeing 12 to 13 with it pinned to the floor. I took the redline off the wastegate and got up to about 16 or so. Are those readings normal? I wiped off the boots to the spider and made sure the hose clamps were tight to hopefully get rid of any potential leaks.
Check for kinks in the boost gauge line. You might have a small leak there or a kink that is causing the gauge readings to be low. If everything checks out ok, then monitor your EGT's. High exhaust temps will tell you if you have a boost or exhaust leak. With the intake, exhaust, and no chip, it should be extremely difficult for you to go over 1100 degrees at a full throttle run. If you are seeing higher EGT's than that, something is wrong.

pocket's coments are spot on, look for a kink or a leak somewhere in your intake tubes... numbers for my truck when it was stock were 17 lbs max boost straight stock... i could get up around 22 lbs of boost after i removed the red line from the waste gate... when i installed the wicked wheel, i found that most of the clamps on the boost tubes were loose... i'm sure i was loosing boost there... after i had reinstalled all the tubes and tightened all the clamps, i could easilly get over 30 lbs of boost, but i always tripped a code, and since the stock turbo isn't very effiecient after about 25lbs of boost, i don't push it that far very often anymore... lately i have been thinking that those clamps have loosened up again becuase i seem to be 2-4 lbs. lower in boost under the same driving conditions... i would like to get some new clamps... does anybody have any reccomendations for aftermarket clamps, or a package of clamps and tubes..?
EGT's are pretty low actually. Between 300 & 600 just cruising around and only up to 800 max when I pin it to the floor on the hwy. I'll check the boost line for kinks. I tried to be careful about not kinking it, but you never know. Thanks for the input. I'll let you know what I find.
