Might want to check into a brake proportioning valve if you try removing the RABS. Without the valve its possible to lose most of your braking if you have a serious issue at the front or rear.

did they change the brake systems that much? i remember taking RABS out of an older ford and it was pretty easy.

Another thought Louis. I hope that clicking and pedal drop wasn't the master bypassing itself because of the restriction. This sounds like what is happening to me, and I personally would replace the master along with whatever is causing the restriction. Good luck with whatever you do.
