havent had to use one thank god, but im not sure how much it would help for a swollen tip. maybe just one with carbon buildup on it because it will slowly scrape it off. but if its too big to come thought the hole then i think its still gonna brake it. maybe just brake it slower is all.
i dont quite see how that would work.it leaves no debris from a swollen tip,so thats like trying to squeeze a grape through a keyhole and not destroying the grape
well maybe if ****ty glowplugs were not produced, they wouldnt need to sell ****ty tools to get them out, i see no benefit of this over the drill removal process. Both still have to wear away the tip a bit, the engine still inhales some metal particles....meh i wouldnt bother, just use berus and it will be a non issue.
My truck had two Autolites in it and both of them came out easy as can be. I was afraid I would have to deal with the swollen tip issue but as it turned out, no problem!

I have 8 new Berus. I have NO IDEA what's in the friggin' thing now. Hence the question. How's the drill help? Just hit it in reverse and hold something under the gp to pry it up?
Some people have made there own tool that will do the same thing. I'd just give it a shot, if you get a plug that wont come out, move on and try it again later. I had 2 plugs fight me, but it was just soot buildup holding them in.

when i get a stuck plug, i spray the hell out of it with pb blaster, then hook a cordless drill on the plug and spin it while gently pulling up to cut the swollen tip off. while it is spinning, i will use an up/down cycle, and spray while it is down. i have never had one break, but i have also had some that take close to 10 minutes to cut down enough to get them out.
